Article Processing Charge

The Smart Techno Journal maintains a transparent publishing policy to support high-quality editorial standards and broad access to scholarly work. Below is a breakdown of the cost structure:

Important APC Notice: Effective for Volume 9 and all new submissions received on or after August 1, 2026, the Article Processing Charge (APC) will be updated to Rp 750,000. All manuscripts submitted prior to August 1, 2026, will be processed under the previous rate of Rp 350,000 upon acceptance.
  • • Submission Fees: No submission fee is required. Authors can submit their manuscripts free of charge.
  • • Editorial Processing Charges: No charge is applied during the regular editorial screening and peer review process.
  • • Article Processing Charges (APCs): Upon acceptance for publication, authors are required to pay an APC of Rp 750,000 or USD 75 (effective August 1, 2026). This fee covers enhanced editorial services, layout copyediting, DOI assignment, and online publishing infrastructure.
  • • Page Charges: The excess pages of the article will be charged with Rp 50,000 or USD 5 per page.

This fee structure ensures the sustainability and open access of the journal while supporting continuous operational improvements and maintaining an equitable publishing process for authors.

APC Waivers

The Smart Techno journal provides APC waivers or discounts to support inclusive and equitable scholarly publishing.

Waivers or partial discounts may be granted to authors with financial constraints, authors from developing countries, student authors, reviewers or editorial board members, invited authors, or manuscripts of high academic merit.

Requests must be submitted at the time of submission or before final acceptance and will be evaluated by the editorial board on a case-by-case basis. Granting a waiver or discount does not affect the editorial or peer-review process.

Fast-Track Review Service

An optional Fast-Track Review Service is available for a fee of Rp 1,250,000. This service accelerates the peer-review timeline for time-sensitive research.

Eligibility Notice: This option is only available to manuscripts deemed to have a high scientific impact following an initial preliminary review and assessment by the editorial board. Opting for fast-track review guarantees an expedited decision process but does not guarantee acceptance for publication.
